Welcome to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We are pleased to welcome back our sixth, fifth, fourth, third, and second year students. And to our first years, we eagerly await to make your acquaintance. Please keep in mind that in order to enroll in a term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, one must be over the age of 18.
This year's term will begin on Friday, October 25th at 7:00 P.M. If weather does not permit term to begin, the term will be rescheduled to begin Saturday, October 26th. A schedule of the castle's events will be provided in coming weeks via the Hogwarts Instagram account. Please follow this account to get important updates.
Due to the success of previous years' Project Muggle, we wish to continue to use this year's tuition to reach out and help the muggle world. After much thoughtful consideration the staff has chosen an individual to donate all proceeds to. Please visit the page Project Muggle to learn more about this year's extremely deserving young woman, her family, and her fight against life threatening cancer.
This year's tuition will be handled differently than in years prior in an effort to make entrance to Hogwarts more orderly. This year, tuition paid in advance will be $15 per person. Tuition will be paid via the Hogwarts Venmo account (@harrypotterparty). Tuition is due by Monday, October 21st. Proof of payment, by showing your Venmo receipt on your cellular device, will be required at the door. Castle guards will have a list of names of all witches and wizards that paid before October 21st. Please be sure the name you give matches your Venmo username. If you are paying for multiple guests please list their names in the comments so we can also put their names on the list. Anyone wishing to attend who has not paid by October 21st, will pay $20 CASH ONLY at the door. This fee will include your meal, this year's entertainment, unlimited access to Honeyduke's candy shop, and provide much needed financial support for the incredible cause mentioned above. We are grateful for the support of the entire wizarding world because without all of you this magical night would be impossible.
As in years past all witches and wizards are invited to participate in our yearly costume contest. Prizes will be awarded to the best witch, best wizard, and best couple/group costume of the night. Use of the polyjuice potion is as always, strongly recommended.
The nightly entertainment will also include a DJ, our yearly snitch hunt, and the infamous wizarding wars. We remind all students that only certified staff will be allowed to participate in the wizarding wars. The consequence of violating this rule will be detention with Professor Umbridge.
To our first year students: Be prepared to enter a world of magic and enchantment. Remember, all students attending Hogwarts are required to dress appropriately and bring their wands. If you wish to try out for the Quidditch team, please wear appropriate footwear. We remind ALL students that absolutely NO MUGGLES ARE ALLOWED. For those who are unfamiliar with the castle's location, please board the train at Platform 9 3/4 (the Menlove Residence).
We would like to remind you that all witches and wizards are welcome at Hogwarts if over the age of 18. If a witch or wizard does not appear to be over the age of 18, I.D. will be required to be shown at the door. Please inform your guests that if they wear muggle attire they will NOT be permitted on the castle grounds.
All castle guests are required to park at the church parking lot. The church is located just a few minutes walk east of the home. If guests' are parked on the surrounding streets, you will face the possibility of being towed. In previous years parking on the street has caused safety concerns so you will also face the possibility of receiving a parking ticket.
If you have any questions or concerns about your upcoming year at Hogwarts, please feel free to contact Headmaster Menlove or Headmistress Menlove. We look forward to seeing you in your Hogwarts best.
