Meet the Staff
Headmaster and Headmistress Menlove share a great appreciation for all things magical. Due to their affinity for the Wizarding World, they established Hogwarts in 2013. Their hope is to educate all wizards and witches with general Harry Potter knowledge through use of the polyjuice potion, the drinking of butter beer, wizarding duels, and Quidditch matches.
Professor Andrews is a lover of all things magical. She, along with Headmaster and Headmistress Menlove, helped to found Hogwarts in 2013. Professor Andrews can be found dabbling in all types of magic including Divination, Charms, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts. Some of her recent studies have involved the alleged hair-thickening curse that caused Alicia Spinnet's eyebrows to grow at an alarming rate.
As master of the Incendio Charm, Professor Stringham is in charge of all things related to fire around the castle. He also delights in practical pranks and visits Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes on a weekly basis. Professor Stringham has been known to accept any challenge and has competed several times in the Triwizard Tournament.
Professors Pat and Sarah Romero share a common love for the documentation of events through writing, pictures, and video (a valuable muggle contraption). In their free time they often put together articles for the Quibbler. Professor Sarah Romero also has a great love for the creating of magical recipes. She has been credited with brewing some of the best Butter Beer in Hogsmeade.
Professor Katherine Thackeray has already greatly loved her time here at Hogwarts. When on the castle grounds she is often found caring for and maintaining the Phoenix that guards the headmaster's office or baking cakes for the house elves. Her husband Professor Noah Thackeray has just begun his journey in studying Healing Magic. He currently works in the Hospital Wing here at Hogwarts. When not working at Hogwarts, he volunteers at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magic Maladies and Injuries.
As our Care of Magical Creatures Master, Professor Estrada is continually caring for the creatures and nature that surrounds Hogwarts. Most often Professor Estrada can be found hiking throughout the Forbidden Forest. He recently returned from a research trip to Romania where he studied dragons and uniCORNS with the acclaimed Charles Weasley.
Professor Karson Phippen has been known for his crafting ability throughout the years. He worked for several years as an apprentice to Ollivander at Ollivander's Wand Shop, and is known for his controversial use of house elf ears as wand cores. Professor Phippen also crafts brooms in his free time. He has been credited with inventing the infamous Firebolt.
Professor Shaw is also known for his work with videos in the muggle world. We are excited to welcome his wife, Professor Kate Shaw to this year's committee. It has been rumored that he invented the contraption muggles now call a "drone" by enchanting his camera with the wingardium leviosa spell. This enchantment has revolutionized the muggle video industry. When he is not filming or enchanting video equipment, Professor Shaw spends his time working on this year's castle renovations while nibbling on muggle culinary delicacy, the Slim Jim.
Professor Madeline Hamilton is equally, if not more well known than the infamous Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. Unlike Professor Lockhart, she could not be more humble about her great successes. She is especially popular in the muggle fashion world and is credited with creating one of the most unique costumes in Hogwart's history. Professor Conley Hamilton supports Professor Becker in all her endeavors. Both professors are known for their photogenic qualities are often found in the still life portraits the muggles seem to be so fond of. It has been rumored that Professor Conley is currently working on releasing moving portraits into the muggle world which will greatly enhance muggle magazines and advertisements.
Professor Carol Allred has been a member of the staff since Hogwarts opened. Family is extremely important to Professor Allred and she is often found bringing different family members to Hogwarts to help throughout the year. She is also known for brewing polyjuice potion and serving it to her family so they can embody well known wizarding families, such as the Weasleys and the Malfoys, as well as muggle families, such as the Dursleys.
,We have been eagerly awaiting for Professor Kyle Allred to join our staff at Hogwarts. For years, we have tried to secure him a position at Hogwarts but he has been engaged in other endeavors. One of Professor Allred's most notable endeavors was his recent years living aboard in Europe, where he explored the namesake of the wizarding world's darkest wizard, Grindelwald. He, like many of the other professors at Hogwarts, also has an obsession with fire and the Incendio charm.
We are excited to welcome Professor Olivia Ward to this year's staff. She has been a constant supporter throughout the years but has found time to join this staff while her husband is away studying the art of healing at St. Mungo's. Professor Ward is known for her sense of humor and many students request to be in her classes year after year so they can indulge in her jokes and quick witted responses.
Professor Gilson took a several year sabbatical, where she studied the best practices for educating young Muggle students in the study of mathematics. We could not be more pleased to have Professor Gilson back furthering the education of those in the wizarding world once again.
Professor Elizabeth Menlove has always had great and enthusiastic love for all things happy or magical. She is constantly buoying up other professors and keeping staff happy around the castle. With more energy than a Niffler, Professor Menlove is always busy running and coordinating the social events of the castle.
Professor Umbridge has been working for Hogwarts ever since it was established in 2013. She is the first professor any student meets once entering the Hogwarts grounds. She serves as a loyal greeter, never leaving her post, making sure all students sign in, pay their tuition, and hear about her most prized cat plate collection.
Last but not least... Professor Menlove. As Master of the Grounds, she makes schooling at Hogwarts possible. She continually maintains the castle and it's year-round residents. She has a speciality for working with some of the most troubling ghosts that call Hogwarts home. She is credited for giving continual counsel to the infamous Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls lavatory.
